This series of modern woodblock prints are one-off prints that create minimal designs with geometric and organic shapes. I enjoy creating compositions that explore tension between a geometric/clean design with an organic one that has subtleties of texture and wood grain coming through. Finding the right composition to reconcile and hold space for this tension is something that is rooted in my past experiences. I love working with abstract designs to see what comes up for different viewers and to see how their own past experiences inform their experience with the work.
